Royceton Shane Pinder

Originally from Sri Lanka, Shane began his career in finance after earning his degree in Marine Engineering from Premier Engineering School. In 1986, he joined California Federal Bank and later became an Investment Advisor Representative for AIG/VALIC, building a reputation as a knowledgeable and dedicated advisor. In 2016, when MetLife Premier Client Group was acquired by MassMutual, Shane leveraged his expertise and collaborative spirit to assemble a team of like-minded professionals who share his commitment to providing exceptional client service. In 2024, Shane, joined Sovran Advisors, which has allowed him and his daughter to solidify their father-daughter practice with an independent firm.

Outside of his work, Shane is an active member of the St. Thomas College Alumni Association and serves on the Audit Committee of Pomona Valley Community Health Center. He and his wife have been married for over 30 years and enjoy spending time with their children- their son works in the technology industry and their daughter is Shane’s business partner. Shane is an accomplished rugby player, having represented Sri Lanka on their National Rugby team, and also enjoys sport fishing and golfing in his leisure time.
